CNC Programmer

SUMMARY Programs CNC equipment for structural and miscellaneous pieces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform CNC programming for steel fabrication.  This position works closely with detailers and operations manager in the preparation of documents used by the shop in the fabrication of structural steel.

• Prepare CNC programming as required for drill lines, coping machines and angle lines in fabrication of structural members.
• Develop and establish good working relationships with operations manager and other key personnel to ensure accurate and timely release of fabrication documents to the shop.
• Alert management of potential problems and/or delays in advance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS     To perform this duty, an individual must be able to perform and direct others on each essential duty.                      

• Experience or familiarity with drill lines, coping machines and angle lines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows is required.
• Must be detail oriented, thorough and results oriented.
• Able to work with people in situations involving critical time lines, budgets, and deadlines.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with computer software such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, AutoCad, SDS2. Tekla, and Fabtrol.
• Good oral and written communications.
• Professional attitude.
