SUMMARY/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Director of Human Resources is part of the management team and manages human resource functions. This position, along with the Vice President of Human Resources, is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that support the company's growth and development of its workforce in six operating divisions.
BHC Holding Company is a $250 million multi-state, steel fabrication, steel and pre-cast erection and general construction business with dotted-line coordination duties to a steel fabrication sister company – Stupp Bridge Company. The Company maintains offices in St. Louis, MO, Indianapolis, IN, North Liberty, IA, Columbus and Cincinnati, OH and Nashville, TN.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to help define the organizations long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
- Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation and performance appraisal processes and manages employee incentive programs.
- Administers competitive benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance – under the Stupp Bros. Inc. umbrella.
- Oversees recruitment, interview, selection and hiring process.
- Develops policies and programs to meet organizational needs and provides guidance and technical assistance to other areas.
- Advises management to ensure compliance with all laws related to employee benefits, compensation and employment.
- Participates in human resource projects overlapping across business units
- Provides development, leadership and is the catalyst and owner for actions regarding human resources initiatives.
- Directs, supports, coaches, and counsels employees on an as needed basis.
- Establishes and maintains effective forums for involving employee representatives in identifying workplace issues and delivering solutions.
