Drawing Project Engineer

SUMMARY

Ben Hur Steel Worx, a large structural steel fabricator, seeks a full time Drawing Project Engineer to support Project Managers by managing the detailing and document/drawing control function.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret design documents, E-plans, and shop drawings related to steel construction
• Excellent math skills; strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in desktop and network Data Management

• Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting with team members from Staff and Management
• Outstanding organizational skills to perform routine and non-routine tasks
• Accurate and detail oriented; self-driven and self-motivated individual
• Ability to work independently to manage competing priorities
• Multitasking essential

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate and route documents inside and outside the company
• Verify information presented on documents complies with company standards
• File and maintain construction drawings
• Maintain computer files in an organized and timely manner
• Create print requests and manage printing operations
• Gather and evaluate information and prepare reports
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet deadlines

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Some college coursework or two years experience in structural steel construction
• PC skills include: AutoCAD, Microsoft, Bluebeam or Adobe, Fabtrol

Working knowledge of SDS/2 and Tekla
