SUMMARY

The Industrial Electrician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to repair and maintain production and facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete required records associated with work assignments.
• Discern actual/potential health & safety hazards prior to performing work.
• Function in various work environments to which assigned throughout the facility. This may include but is not limited to elevated work, heat & cold, confined spaces.
• Effectively manage time, coordinate work with Maintenance Lead/Maintenance Manager, follow direction, and work in a team environment.
• Read, understand, use diagrams, sketches, schematics, blueprints, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions for troubleshooting and repair.
• Perform inspection, preventative maintenance, repair of facility and production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial communication.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair field equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair switchgears and industrial controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC Motor Circuits and Controllers
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems.
• Lead and/or assist production associates, and other supplemental workers in maintenance activities, as needed, to meet needs.
• Understand specific jobs duties and related instructions, as well as perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Use common hand tools such as grinders, chippers, and wrenches.
• Communicate with fellow workers regarding instructions, general work assignments and safety concerns.
• Must be able to pass the Maintenance Physical Demands Test.
• Must be qualified to operate overhead cab and radio-controlled cranes and forklifts.
• Basic knowledge of Process and equipment operations.
• Ability to operate Process equipment.
• Trained and equipped for NFPA 70E compliance and knowledgeable of the energy levels.
• Comply with Company and Industry Standards for Safety.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to follow-up with any maintenance issue.
• Position may require external and internal training for specific equipment and/or general knowledge.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Must have high school degree, preferred associate degree or higher in a maintenance tech program, have experience that equates to 10 to 15 years' experience in similar industry.
• Experience in programming and repair of PLC's, Variable Speed Drives, CNC Equipment, Robotics, and Computer Operating Systems.
• Experience with data entry and computers.
