Payroll Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Weekly processing of union and non-union payroll - from entry of hours through posting into job cost and general ledger
• Weekly payment of payroll tax deposits and garnishments
• Weekly submission of required certified payroll reports
• Monthly submission and payment of union benefit reports
• Monthly submission payroll hours for OCIP projects
• Monthly and quarterly submission of state and local withholding taxes and unemployment taxes
• Maintain employee files for union employees (electronic and paper)
  
  

• Experience with high volume, multi-state payroll environment
• Knowledge of payroll related taxes and respective taxing agencies
• Experience in coordinating long-term and short-term planning in a fast-changing environment
• Ability to work with all levels of management and interact effectively with team members
• Instill confidence in the workforce and management by maintaining the highest level of confidentiality at all times
• Keep management apprised of all payroll issues and up-coming changes
• Excellent organization skills and good customer service ability
• Good communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with vendors, management, and team members

• Three (3) plus years of Vista payroll platform experience (required)
• Must have multi state union payroll experience (required)
• Basic knowledge of FLSA, Federal and State withholding requirements
• Knowledge of payroll related taxes and the taxing agencies
• Strong foundation of the fundamental concepts of payroll
• Proficient with Word and Excel

  This position does not supervise team members

  This is a regular, full-time position with possible overtime.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year depending on qualifications.
