Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and assist with project cost tracking. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction accounting principles and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Track and analyze job costs, budgets, and project profitability
• Assist with variance analysis
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP
• Additional projects as needed
• Maintain Business licenses

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficiency in construction ERP systems (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore). Experience with Vista/Viewpoint preferred
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Self starter
